For people living in Todmorden who are in need
If you are struggling with the cost of living and need financial assistance for basic needs, for example buying clothing, new shoes for the children, school uniforms or essential beds and bedding, travel costs to hospital, Tod Support is here to help.
Tod Support distributes funds from two charities, Todmorden War Memorial Fund and Abraham Ormerod Trust.
Criteria for receiving help
You, or the person you are referring, must:
- Live within Todmorden town boundaries. (Tod Support distributes funds from the War Memorial Fund and Abraham Ormerod Trust. It is a condition of both funds that the money is for people living within Todmorden town boundaries, which includes Walsden, Cornholme, Portsmouth and Stoodley.)
- Have health issues or be in need
- Be prepared to supply information required to assess level of support needed and, when appropriate accept a home visit

Todmorden Health Centre – 2nd Tuesday of each month – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Todmorden Family Hub and Todmorden Children’s Centre (for families with children under the age of 19) Todmorden Community College, Burnley Rd

They can help you if you
- live in Todmorden
- in need or experiencing illness
- receive benefits such as Universal Credit, PIP, Pension Credit or Working Tax Credit
- require assistance with costs towards furnishing, clothes, transport costs to hospital
Do you need help with energy costs?
There are people in Todmorden who have to choose between food or heat. The Newground Energy Vouchers can help with this for a short time. If you think you qualify call Tod Support to apply for vouchers.

Do you need help to feed yourself and your family?
There are several resources in Todmorden to assist individuals and families in need of food. The first port of call should be Todmorden Food Bank, held at Todmorden Community College on Saturday mornings between 9 a.m. and 12 noon.
