What we do
Tod Support is run entirely by volunteers with invaluable support from the Town Clerk of Todmorden Town Council. Our volunteers have a wide range of backgrounds and experiences and all are committed to helping people in need in our community.
We distribute funds from Todmorden War Memorial Fund and Abraham Ormerod Fund to help people in Todmorden. You can read more about the history of both charities here, and more about the governance of Tod Support here. We want to ensure that anyone in need in our community knows about Tod Support and how to ask for help. Click here for criteria and how to refer someone or to ask for help yourself.
We work with a range of partners and are keen to build more partnerships to ensure anyone in need in Todmorden can get help from Tod Support. We are keen to know about the work of other partners so we can sign post appropriately people who come to Tod Support for help. If you would like to talk to us about this, or would like Tod Support to deliver an advice session at your organisation, please get in touch.
Currently we run an advice session at Todmorden Food Drop In on the third Saturday of each month from 9.30am to 12. There will be 2 volunteers from Tod Support there in a separate room and you can come along and talk to us privately about what you need. We will need to have proof of your financial circumstances so it would be good to bring with you or be able to show on your phone. A second advice session is starting at the Vale Community Drink and Hub, Vale Baptist Church Cornholme on Tuesday November 7th and then the first Tuesday of every month.
